This paper is focused on the metrological characterization of an infrared distance sensor - Teraranger One - developed and built by Terabee. In particular, this is a one dimension distance sensor based on the utilization of an infrared pulsed light and ToF (Time of Flight) technology. The proposed sensor aims to optimize remote measurements and the development of practical application of such new technologies on drones both aerial and terrestrial.
