The present article investigates the Latife Tekin’s novel "Berci Kristin Çöp Masallari" in a double view: on one side, we want to demonstrate how this novel is a margin’s tale, pointing out the relationship between downtown/suburbs; on the other side – adopting an ecocritical approach – this study shall focus on the role taken over by the garbage in the story, especially the constant exchange between human bodies and toxic agents.
