A recent photographic work by Stefano Torrione, widely acclaimed and published by National Geographic on the archaeological ruins left in the Alps during the First World War, suggests some reflections on some unique values of the building. Wrecks and evidences of an immense and tragic task of landscaping, as well as having changed the recent history of Europe, has also literally changed the topography of the Alpine landscape which was the witness and it is today the keeper of this history.
