I due miliari repubblicani della via Faesulae-Pisae e la viabilità nell'Etruria settentrionale

The paper analyzes two important milestones of the Republican period with the name of the consul T. Quinctius Flamininus, placed along the road conventionally called via Quinctia, which connected Fiesole to Pisa. The first one, considered lost, was found in Florence at the collection Antinori, where it was possible to carry out the autopsy, which let to solve some doubts about the number of miles. The second one had been relegated in the Corpus among the false inscriptions, but a closer analysis of fontes confirmed that the document was authentic. They are thus two different milestones located respectively 40 and 32 miles from Pisa along an important Republican road that connected the via Cassia.
