Architetture di e sulla carta / Visionary and paper architecture

Può il disegno di architettura essere architettura esso stesso? “Architettura sulla carta” è un contributo teso a provare di come uno schizzo progettuale, la rappresentazione di un oggetto o di un territorio, possano essere considerati una realtà in divenire. Per cui il disegno, in quanto fase fondamentale del processo creativo dell'architettura, fa pienamente parte dell'architettura stessa. Il disegno è ricerca, esplorazione, sperimentazione, è una modalità di lettura, studio e analisi dell'architettura, vista ed interpretata dal reale oppure immaginata, trasferita dalla penna al foglio, per dare “corpo” a idee, impressioni, visioni, memorie. Analizzando opere e scritti di alcuni architetti fiorentini (contemporanei o del secolo appena trascorso) abbiamo distillato alcuni dei loro pensieri, guardando, approfondendo e “copiando” i loro disegni, cercando di svelare il segreto di quelle linee e dei fogli che le contengono: rappresentazioni di persone, oggetti, pensieri e luoghi, suggestioni e ricerche, rapporti sinergici e di condivisione che, a volte, hanno persino influenzato l'andamento di tutto ciò che li circonda. / Can architectural drawings be architecture itself? "Architecture on paper" contributes to proving how a design sketch, the representation of an object or a territory, can be considered a reality in the making. As a fundamental phase of the creative process of architecture, drawing is entirely part of the architecture itself. Drawing is research, exploration, experimentation, a way of reading, studying and analysing architecture, seen and interpreted from reality or imagined, transferred from the pen to the paper, to give "body" to ideas, impressions, visions, memories. By analysing the works and writings of several Florentine architects (contemporary or from the century that has just ended) we have distilled some of their thoughts, looking at, studying in-depth and "copying" their drawings, trying to reveal the secret of those lines and the sheets that contain them: representations of people, objects, thoughts and places, suggestions and research, synergic and shared relationships that, at times, have even influenced the course of everything that surrounds them.
