In this issue of Clinical Cancer Research, evidence is provided on how to avoid cardiotoxicity when targeting hERG Kþ channel for cancer therapy. hERG regulates different aspects of neoplastic progression. Although its blockade has effective anticancer effects in experimental models, it may lead to fatal arrhythmias in humans.
