Abstract

The nature of the faintest dwarf galaxies and their connection with the recently discovered very metal-poor Damped Ly alpha Absorption systems (DLAs) is investigate in the context of the Milky Way formation. By using a cosmological model I will discuss the theoretical implications of the observed Fe-Luminosity relation and Metallicity Distribution Functions of ultra-faint dwarfs, along with the gas chemical abundances of very metal-poor DLAs.
