The management of a data bank of an integrated survey: the case of Palazzo Pitti’s summer quarters

The survey of Palazzo Pitti’s summer quarters was broached. Particular attention was therefore paid to research opportunities enabled by new technologies to the surveyor, with specific reference to applications derived from the use of a laser scanner and to the possibilities of integrating data obtained from various different surveying methods. The survey produced a considerable amount of information, considering this large quantity of data obtained and its complexity, we questioned ourselves about the necessity of having adequate surveying protocols and appropriate systems of restitution for surveys carried out by traditional methods integrated with new technologies.
