Phytohormones are a family of plants secondary metabolites, and their accurate determination is fundamental also to understand the effects of biotic stress induced by plant pathogens. Here we propose the determination of three major plant metabolites, indole-3-acetic acid, benzoic acid and salicylic acid by gas chromatography massspectrometry (GC – MS).
