Analisi del rischio sismico del Campanile della Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta a San Gimignano (Siena)

The paper summarizes the seismic risk analyses performed on one of the historic masonry towers analysed within the research project RiSEM (Seismic Risk of Monumental Buildings): the bell-tower of the Collegiata of Santa Maria Assunta in San Gimignano (Siena). The project, financially supported by the Region of Tuscany (PAR FAS 2007-2013), selected the historic towers in the city centre of San Gimignano as a relevant case study, and the paper shortly reports the analyses performed on the bell-tower of the Collegiata. The analyses were performed with reference to the Italian “Guidelines for the assessment and mitigation of the seismic risk of the cultural heritage” and the paper summarizes and compares the results obtained with respect the three levels of evaluation there defined: LV1 (analysis at territorial level), LV2 (local analysis) and LV3 (global analysis).
