“Aegean trade and weighing systems from EBA to EIA: how changing circuits influenced changing ‘glocal’ measures”

This is a quite important work. It provides an illustration of the economic history of the Aegean, comparing the trade system and the weighing system in each period, to show how strict is the interconnection between the various areas and between the different economic factors. Periods of denser interactions alternate with periods of prevalent regionalism. By the Late Bronze Age, a sort of globalisation marks both the trade system and the adopted weighing standards. The volume contains the proceedings of a Sheffield Round Table in 2013 on trade and interaction in the Aegean and Mediterranean.
