This paper offers an overview of the major issues faced by judges (during the years 2013-2017) in framing local legal sources within the Italian general system of legal sources. In addition to this, it also aims to examine how Mayor’s orders (as regulated by the Consolidated Act on Local Authorities) can be legally challenged and how administrative Courts deal with such cases.
