An analysis of the modes of Fabry-Perot open resonators

Si descrive il risultato della valutazione numerica, con metodo iterativo, di 26 modi di un risonatore Fabry-Perot con numero di Fresnel N=12,25. Dopo la descrizione del procedimento, basato sull'ortogonalità dei modi, e del criterio per stabilire se si è raggiunto lo stato stazionario, si riportano i modi e le perdite dei 26 modi e si confrontano con quelli ottenuti dalla teoria di Wainstein. The results are described of the evaluation of 26 modes of a Fabry-Perot resonator having a Fresnel-number N=12.25. First the description of the iterative procedure for the computation, based on the orthogonality of the modes, and the criterion, for establishing when the steady state solution is obtained, are described. Then results of the evaluations are presented and modes and losses are compared with those derived from the approximate theory of Wainstein.
