Si presenta uno studio teorico su risonatori aperti di differenti geometrie e si discute il problema della forma del nucleo (Green's function) come derivata da differenti formule della diffrazione, per ottenere risultati corretti. The results of a theoretical investigation on open resonators are described. The suitable choice of the kernel shape in the integral equation (Green's function as obtained from different diffraction formulas) is shown to be critical for mirror geometries presenting very low losses.
