We propose that tumor cells are subjected to metabolic reprogramming after LMW-PTP silencing, enhancing glycolytic flux, probably to compensate the inhibition of mitochondrial metabolism. Our results highlight the involvement of LMW-PTP in regulating glucose metabolism in A375 melanoma cells.
