Abstract
We present a wearable system to detect hand movements and return non-vibratory tactile feedback. It is conceived to interact with virtual-reality environments, by mimicking tactile explorations of soft bodies. Our innovative approach is based on the use of soft electro-responsive smart materials. Preliminary results hold promise for implementing a simple, portable and cost-effective technology, which could potentially serve for unsupervised cognitive-motor rehabilitation programmes at home.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
