Introducing BIM and Lean to Italian airport management companies: proposal for a gamified learning mean.

Recently, the Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport signed the “BIM decree”, fostering the progressive introduction of digital information management models in the construction processes of buildings and civil engineering works. At airports - whose developments are constantly progressing - it is convenient to align and anticipate the planning, implementation and management activities with new practices, following the most innovative technical references. To confront the impending changes, we propose the introduction of a learning mean encompassing improvement of the design process and introduction of Lean values to the Aviation AECO Industry and specifically airport management companies.
