This paper reports the results of a set of in-situ experimental tests performed on traditional masonry structures located within the Tuscany Region. The tests were performed by the double flat-jack technique that, among the wide range of in-situ tests capable to directly detect the masonry mechanical properties, is one the most widespread due to its relative low cost and adaptability. Results of the experiments in terms of elastic modulus of elasticity are reported together with a complete qualitative characterization of the masonry typologies and its components, including the Masonry Quality Index (IQM). Data from tests have been elaborated by reliable and uniform procedures according to a standardized approach, to directly compare the obtained quantities. The results of the experiments here discussed have been also included in the on-line “Tuscany Masonry Database."

Abstract
