Abstract

The effect of the detector nonlinearity on the statistics of a fluctuating signal is evaluated. The input signal is assumed to be log-normally distributed, that is of interested in our experiments on laser atmospheric scintillation due to turbulence. Both detector threshold and saturation effects are taken into account.
