We reported a series of amide-based hybrid compounds incorporating 6- and 7-substituted coumarins and some NSAIDs as agents for the management of RA. [1] These derivatives were proved to exert remarkable anti-inflammatory action in spite of non-significant amide-bond cleavage in vivo. [1-3] As a rational development, we report herein all such derivatives ester bioisosters to investigate the contribution of a more cleavable linker in terms of plasma stability
