The prevalence of obesity is increasing worldwide. It is estimated that more than one half of the world’s population will be at least overweight by 2030. Moreover, obesity is serious health problem as it is a well recognized risk factor for multiple chronic diseases. We reviewed and summarized the current literature of the implications of obesity on nononcological urological surgery. We conducted a comprehensive search of the current literature with emphasis on the published literature in the last 18 months.
