RAP is a safe minimally invasive approach with optimal surgical outcomes and very low rates of postoperative pain. In this series, most of the patients were young and healthy, and procedures were carried out by experienced surgeons. This could have had an impact on the reported outcomes. In this context, avoiding the drain after RAP did not affect the surgical outcomes, with results at least non-inferior to those reported in the literature.
