The paper presents the guideline for the use of the experimental results contained in the Tuscany Masonry Database, available at the web page www.abacomurature.it. The Abaco has been conceived in compliance with the provisions of the current Ministerial Circular n. 617/2009 (Instructions for the application of the "New Technical Standards for Construction" of the DM 14/01/2008). The dispositions herein reported are valid for the definition of the mechanical characteristics of masonry typologies of ordinary buildings for the design and/or assessments of local interventions, improvement and for static and seismic upgrading.
