Taxonomic remarks and comments on the early Paleocene fasciculiths are presented. The study was carried out across the Danian Selandian transition at Site 1262 (South Atlantic), Zumaia (Spain) and Qreiya (Egypt) sections. A scheme of the main characteristics and structural features useful to identify the new taxa of Gomphiolithus, Diantholitha, Lithoptychius and Fasciculithus is suggested.
