Building Community of Practice (CoP) is unanimously considered as a good way to foster knowledge among peers, because of its intrinsic nature of facilitator in a collective learning process. Over the past years, scholars have analyzed several forms of CoPs (physical, virtual, social) in a various range of contexts (industries, countries and characteristics of members). Despite the contributions on this topic are numerous and varied, so far there are no relevant studies focused on Communities of Practice that have entrepreneurs (or managers) as members, and that consider entrepreneurship development (mainly seen as the capability to develop a company strategy) as their own specific domain. Based on a single case study, this paper is a first attempt to understand how the general knowledge on CoPs can be adapted to a group of entrepreneurs meeting regularly to discuss strategic issues related to their companies development.
