It is a great honor for me to inform all our readers that the current issue of the Journal of Endometriosis contains the guidelines of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) on “Endometriosis: Diagnosis and management.” These Clinical Practice Guidelines were reviewed by the Clinical Practice Gynaecologists Committee and reviewed and approved by the Executive and Council of the SOGC. They were published in July 2010 by the Journal of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Canada (JOGC). A warm thank you goes to the SOGC, and especially to Dr. Vyta Senikas (Associate Executive Vice-President of the SOGC, Editor of the JOGC, CPL section). This is a wonderful opportunity for the Journal of Endometriosis to serve as a bearer of new information on endometriosis, coming from one of the major national societies in the world. The authors have reviewed the entire topic, setting it out in 8 chapters, and provided a summary of the latest evidence regarding diagnosis and surgical/medical management of endometriosis. Recommendations for practice are outlined as the final result. In the future, the Journal of Endometriosis hopes to publish upcoming guidelines from other international and national societies in order to create a forum for discussion. Through our journal, other medical and surgical disciplines outside Obstetrics and Gynecology will be reached and informed on the ongoing guidelines. This event marks an excellent start with the SOGC.

Abstract
This event marks an excellent start with the SOGC.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
