Dipendenze comportamentali e Disturbo da Deficit di Attenzione /Iperattività (ADHD) negli adolescenti. Fattori di rischio specifici e specifici

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is associated with gambling, videogames and Inter- net addictions. However, there are no studies that have simultaneously investigated the contri- bution of ADHD’s specific components to the three behavioral addictions. The study sought to investigate the relationship between ADHD and these addictions in adolescents, taking also into account learning difficulties, aggression and problematic family relationships. Participants were adolescents (N = 304, 59% males, M = 14.83, SD = 2.01). Inattention predicted videogames and Internet addictions, while hyperactivity/impulsivity predicted gambling addiction. Additional risk fac- tors were school problems for pathological gambling, aggression for videogames addiction, and family relationships for Internet addiction.
