Standardized tools are needed to identify the most harmful non-native species (NNS). A plethora of assessnment protocols have been developed to evaluate the current and potentials impacts of non-native spcies, but consistency among them has recevid limited attenction. In orde to provide consistency, we highlight the importance of selecting assessors with high expertise, provideng clear giudelines and equate training but also deriving final decisions collaboratively by consensus.
