The possibility is investigated of deriving information on the shape of the structure function of the refractive index of the atmospheric turbulence at small scale, from measurements of angle-of-arrival fluctuations on the wavefront of a laser beam propagated through it. As a result a method is also developed to measure the turbulence inner scale. An experiment, based on a particular use of the Hartman text , is described and the result reported.
