Firenzecard is the official museum pass of the municipality of Florence that allows the visit of over eighty collections and exhibitions located in Florence and in the surrounding area. Each museum access is detected through apposite electronic devices; moreover, some characteristics of tourists (e.g., gender, age, citizenship) are recorded. Thus, the amount of data collected through Firenzecard is truly remarkable and represents an important source of information for improving services to tourists. In this contribution, we carry out a network analysis on the data collected in 2018 with the aim of exploring the sequences of museums visited and suggesting alternative visit opportunities.
