Portraying the breakdown of Time and History, Claudio Magris’ Non luogo a procedure (2015) deals with the consequences of «Postmodern Dark Ages» (see L’infinito viaggiare, 2005) which crack the narrative texture and, at the same time, outline a new textual space; a space in which writing grasps reality, converging towards a deep word-world mimesis The current essay seeks to investigate how the prominent role of the body, in Non luogo a procedere, turns to assess the primacy of a rhetoric level where the body itself becomes a starting point of a thematic diachrony. By addressing corporeal geographies of Non luogo a procedere, the novel reveals itself as a true and proper organism, tainted by the poisons of History.
