Sospese tra tradizione e innovazione, le opere di Diébéd Francis Kéré in Burkina Faso sono un viaggio verso le origini, il ritorno ad una condizione aurorale, non primitiva ma autenticamente essenziale e universale dell’architettura. Il Centre de Santé et de Promotion Sociale è costruito intorno a tre piccole corti, al cui centro un impluvium raccoglie le acque meteoriche per poi conferirle all’esterno, in un rapporto tra l’uomo, l’acqua e la terra immutato e immutabile. Suspended between tradition and innovation, the works by Diébéd Francis Kéré in Burkina Faso are a journey to the origins, the return to an auroral, not primitive but rather authentically essential and universal condition of architecture. The Centre de Santé et de Promotion Sociale is built around three small courtyards at whose centre is located an impluvium which collects rainwater and which then flows to the exterior, in a relationship between man, water and earth that remains unchanged and unalterable.
