“Ad modum turris vestre civitatis”: alcune note a partire da un turibolo commissionato da Neagoe Basarab

Only a few documentary sources allow us a clear insight into the relationship between Wallachian princes and the goldsmiths working for them. A small group of letters and notary deeds represents an exception, allowing a better understanding of a particular case study, the relation between the Wallachian voivode Neagoe Basarab and two goldsmiths – Celestinus and Johannes – from the Saxon town of Szeben/Sibiu/Hermannstadt in Transylvania.
