Tra innovazione e tradizione: il cinema-teatro dell’Accademia delle Belle Arti in Tirana Between innovation and tradition: the cinema-theatre of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana

The digital survey of the Theatre of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana (former premises of the Fascist leisure organization for workers in Albania (Opera Dopolavoro Albanese), designed by Gherardo Bosio between 1939 and 1940 and built in the immediately following years, is aimed at documenting the morphometric and chromatic features of the building in view of its conservative restoration. The comparison between the survey and the original drawings from 1942 highlight and confirm the peculiarities of this architecture, unique combination between the Italian typology of the hall, the new materials and the sober language, which echoes the teachings of the masters of the Florentine School of the Thirties .
