Le quadrature di Palazzo Pavesi a Pontremoli: il contributo del rilievo digitale per la comprensione del processo creativo delle decorazioni di una dimora barocca

The study of this unique and successful set of fabrics of architecture and painting has been dealt by the experienced consolidated research group on the theme of Quadraturism of DIDA Department. The point of view that authors have always pursued is to consider the architectural structure not only as a simple container of the “quadrature”, but as a fundamental element of the creative process of the painter - architect who imagines and represents with the techniques considered more appropriate, for that site and that particular architectural space. The tools of architectural survey have made it possible to evaluate appropriately the close relationships between architectural design and decorative system. Through the digital survey techniques it was possible to make the first observations on the use of interesting perspective techniques implemented by the artists who worked in the main decorated rooms of Palazzo Pavesi in Pontremoli.
