Negative adverbs are neither Adv nor NEG. The study investigates the nature of the so-called negative adverbs in some Romance varieties, specifically North-Italian varieties and Romansh. The study critizes the analysis of Zanuttini and other scholars which attribute the nature of quantifiers to these elements and the idea that there are different positions for the negation head in the syntactic tree.
