Impact of mitraclip intervention on left ventricular remodelling and clinical outcome: data from Florence registry

n the real world, our findings show that half of patients undergoing MitraClip implantation showed LV reverse remodelling. However, there was half of patients in whom afterload mismatch resulted in sustained adverse remodelling or no remodelling associated with a high risk of heart failure recurrence. Beyond EF, other factors may help us to refine the selection of patients who may benefit from MitraClip implantation associated with reverse remodelling.
