Dysopyramide was effective in reducing symptoms and LVOTO gradients in patients with obstructive HCM. The drug also carried a safe pro-arrhythmic profile in patients with a relatively small number of side effects. Dysopiramide remains a useful tool in expert hands, especially in patients in whom atrial fibrillation has to be controlled and the use of amiodarone is contraindicated.

Abstract
