In pediatric HCM SCD was the most common cause of death. None of the currently available adult HCM RFs (nor their sum) reliably identified patients at risk of SCD. Further studies specifically targeting pediatric HCM population are needed to develop adequate decisional algorithms, while extrapolation of evidence from adult patients appears inappropriate.

Abstract
In pediatric HCM SCD was the most common cause of death. None of the currently available adult HCM RFs (nor their sum) reliably identified patients at risk of SCD. Further studies specifically targeting pediatric HCM population are needed to develop adequate decisional algorithms, while extrapolation of evidence from adult patients appears inappropriate.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
