Abbandono e memoria. I ruderi dell’antico borgo di Gioiosa Guardia nella Sicilia nord-orientale.

The ruins Gioiosa Guardia, in the Sicilian region of Messina, are only the memory of the fortified hamlet that resisted to the raids of Ottoman pirates, yet was helpless before the series of earthquakes that destroyed it and sent it into oblivion. A process of recovery of the historical memory, using digital survey drawings and methodologies, brings back to the light the architectural heritage of the past.
