The aim of this paper is to show how Eindhoven’s workers’ neighbourhoods, directly linked to Philips’ industry were developed in order to bring more order within industrial activities, allowing the workers to live close to the industry and to their family.Specifically, will be taken into consideration the Philips’ Strijp District, distinguished for workers’ houses that were developed according to social benefits and urban lifestyle. From 1910 to 1925 the Philips Dorp, Drents Dorp, and Barrier neighbourhoods were developed. They are built at different times, but with a distinctive spatial configuration and a clear urban form including kindergartens, primary schools, churches, parks, and other social facilities. Following the Strijp S Regeneration Plan, undertaken by the Eindhoven City Council and proceeding with the revitalisation of the entire Strijp District, the preservation and regeneration of the main Philips workers’ neighbourhoods can bring urbanity and continuity with the rest of the City of Eindhoven.
