Phytoremediation is a sustainable management option aiming at establishing a plant community on contaminated soils and restore soil multifunctionality and ecosystem services. Metagenomics and transcriptomics permits the direct investigation of microorganisms including the non culturable ones, contributing together and complementary to proteomics to microbial ecology and biodiversity studies. Our main idea is to apply the genomics and tanscriptomics powerful approach to soil phytoremediation.

Abstract

Phytoremediation is a sustainable management option aiming at establishing a plant community on contaminated soils and restore soil multifunctionality and ecosystem services. Metagenomics and transcriptomics permits the direct investigation of microorganisms including the non culturable ones, contributing together and complementary to proteomics to microbial ecology and biodiversity studies. Our main idea is to apply the genomics and tanscriptomics powerful approach to soil phytoremediation.
