Through the administration of BRIEF-2 questionnaire, this research reports the results related to the functioning in daily life of the different components of Executive Functions (EF) in a group of young people with Specific Language Disorder (SLD). Although the Global Executive Composite (GEC) score differs from the typical population average, the scores obtained at the subscales do not suggest a widespread alteration of EF. Specific weaknesses are found especially in working memory and in the starting and monitoring of the task. The cognitive control index is most compromised. These data help define the executive functioning profile in the daily activities of children with SLD as perceived by parents and underline the importance of including the indirect evaluation of EF in taking care of children and young people with SLD in order to define possible strengthening pathways.
