The remotely piloted vehicles have had a development in their use both by private citizens, for recreational or professional purposes (for example making surveys), by companies and by public administrations. These are tools, which, however useful, present a series of risks that have forced the European legislator to provide for specific security measures also for the so-called toy drones. The essay deals with the responsibility of using drones and the problem of mandatory insurance coverage recently extended.
