The study deals with the documentary base of the pictorial apparatus of the late Renaissance villa called “Il Pozzino”, located in Castello near Florence. The characteristic feature of the Pozzino is certainly constituted by the decorative apparatus that liven up the grotesques on the vaults in the portico and on the ceiling of the above loggia -with rural scenes by Piero Salvestrini, active at the end of the sixteenth century in the school of Bernardino Poccetti-, and covers the facades of the main courtyard with illusionist architectural paintings (quadrature) made around 1630 by the court painter Giovanni di San Giovanni. The documentation of this pictorial apparatus has been set up on the survey realized using the Structure From Motion methodology, carried out with digital-coded color control and integrated into the base by the laser scanner for inserting the pictures in a metrically reliable morphological register. The 3D models and traditional 2D drawings come out to be the first ever made on the villa of Pozzino based on scientifically conducted surveys.

Abstract
The 3D models and traditional 2D drawings come out to be the first ever made on the villa of Pozzino based on scientifically conducted surveys.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
