Il consortium ercto non cito: fraternità e solidarismo nelle pieghe della storia

This paper investigates the development of the idea and the structure of partnership in the ancient Roman law through the archaic model of the consortium ercto non cito, focusing on the influence of this ancient kind of societies in the history of the joint ownership and the contract of societies of the classical age. The paper begins by reviewing the first studies about consortium and then it explores in more details the new fragments of Gaius, discovered by Medea Norsa in Egypt on February 1933, and their contribution in order to explain the structure and the meaning of consortium. Finally the paper contains the memories of that extraordinary age for papyrology and classics with was lived in Florence thanks to Medea Norsa and Girolamo Vitelli.
