ethods: Retrospective analysis of SBS patients from 2006 to 2017. Demographic, clinical and nutritional data were collected. Results: 23 patients (52% females, gestational age range 27–39 weeks) underwent AGIR of which 11 off PN and 12 currently on PN. No significant correlations between ages of the patients at the time of surgery, presence of colon or ICV and weaning from PN were found. Bowel length pre-surgery (p< 0.004) and post-surgery (p< 0.009) were found as a possible predictors of weaning off PN. Breast milk was the first nutritional choice and elemental diet was adopted when it was not available. Gastrostomy nutrition was required in 9% of the patient out of PN and in 42% of the patients currently on PN. 8 patients (23%) developed episodes of d-Lactic acidosis who required PN adjustments. Advised dietary restrictions (milk, egg, wheat and soya) were given to all patients.
