In patients with suspected acute aortic syndrome (AAS), standardized clinical risk assessment following the American Heart Association (AHA) and European Society of Cardiology (ESC) recommendations, is based on twelve risk‐markers summarized in the aortic dissection detection (ADD) risk score . However, additional risk factors and conditions have been associated with AASs. These include autoimmune diseases, immunosuppressive or glucocorticoid treatment, and use of fluoroquinolones.
