The aim of the present study is to analyse the relationships between resilience and self-perceived employability, controlling for personality traits. One hundred and fifty-nine university students were administered the Big Five Questionnaire (BFQ), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the Self-Perceived Employability Scale for students (SPES). The findings showed that resilience added a percentage of incremental variance compared to the variance explained by personality traits in relation to self-perceived employability, offering future perspectives of research and intervention to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

The aim of the present study is to analyse the relationships between resilience and self-perceived employability, controlling for personality traits. One hundred and fifty-nine university students were administered the Big Five Questionnaire (BFQ), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the Self-Perceived Employability Scale for students (SPES). The findings showed that resilience added a percentage of incremental variance compared to the variance explained by personality traits in relation to self-perceived employability, offering future perspectives of research and intervention to face the challenges of the 21st century.
