In this paper a series-fed array antenna suitable for vehicular communications in C-band is presented. The array, printed on a commercial substrate, is optimized for obtaining the maximum gain in the radio channels assigned to the Intelligent Transportation Systems. Moreover, its compactness allows for an easy integration with already existing systems. Measurements confirm simulations results, with a maximum gain of 9.00 dB at 5.8GHz and 8.75 dB at 5.9GHz, as well as a reasonable gain exceeding 3.00 dB up to 6.5 GHz.
